Daniel Berger has extended his lead to five shots at the halfway stage of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, as Rory McIlroy moved up the leaderboard after an improved second round at Bay Hill.

Chandler Blanchet took a four-shot lead in the Puerto Rico Open, matching the tournament record for largest lead through 36 holes, while John Daly Jr. played bogey-free and was six shots out of the lead.
